On December 18, 2007, at approximately 11:25 a.m., the Hampton Police Division received a complaint of a business robbery from the Check-N-Go located in the 2200 block of Kecoughtan Road. The investigation revealed that an unknown male wearing a mask and dark sunglasses
entered the business, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect then fled the business on foot, with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, towards Chesterfield Road.

The suspect has been described as a black male, approximately 5’ 3” to 5’ 5” tall, 160 to 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark oversized jacket with a large stripe down the sleeves, baggy jeans, dark hooded shirt and shinny black tennis shoes. A surveillance photo of the suspect is attached.

Anyone with information that will assist police with identifying the suspect is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 727-6111 or Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never appear in court. If a Crime Line call results in an arrest, the caller is eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00.

A local gas station has been robbed three times over a two-week period. 

On November 15, 2007, the BP gas station located at 2105 Gilmerton Road was robbed at about 9:40 PM.  The suspect entered the store wearing all black clothing including a black ski mask and hooded sweatshirt.  He pointed a small black handgun at the employee and demanded money.  After obtaining money, the suspect fired one round at the video equipment in the store and fired shots in the air as he fled from the scene.

On November 23, 2007, the BP gas station was robbed at about 8:20 PM.  Two suspects entered the store wearing black clothing, to include ski masks.  The suspects pointed guns at the employees and demanded money.  After obtaining money, both suspects fled west on Gilmerton Road. 

On December 5, 2007, the gas station was robbed at about 8:20 PM.  The suspect entered the store wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt over blue jeans and black Jordan sneakers with blue stitching.  He pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the employees and demanded money.  After obtaining money, he ran toward Gilmerton Road where he was picked up by a black, four-door vehicle.  The vehicle fled in the direction of George Washington Highway.  The suspect(s) are described as black males and range from 5′ 7″ tall, 160 pounds to 6′ 2″ tall, 220 pounds.
