UPDATE
The victim’s vehicle was recovered this afternoon. An officer checking the area, located
the vehicle in the 800 blk. of Adams St. at approximately 2 p.m. Detectives and Crime
Scene Investigators responded to the scene to process the vehicle for evidence.
Police continue to work to identify the suspect in this case.

Suffolk Police Seek Suspect in Abduction & Rape

SUFFOLK, Va. (October 11, 2008) –Suffolk Police are searching for a suspect in the
abduction and rape of a twenty-one year old Suffolk woman. Police advise that victim
reports that she was abducted from the landing of her apartment, in the 100 blk. of
Forest Oak Ln., when she arrived home at just after 2:00 a.m. on Friday morning.
The victim advised that she was abducted at gunpoint, placed into her vehicle and taken
into the woods where she was sexually assaulted. The victim was bound to a tree,
stabbed and left by the suspect, who took the victim’s vehicle.

The victim was able to escape and make it to the street, where she flagged down a
citizen in the 800 blk. of Old Dill Rd. Police were notified at 4:22 p.m. on Friday. The
victim was transported to Sentara Obici Hospital where she was treated and released.
The suspect is described as a black, male, 20-30 years old, approx. 5’5”, thin build,
medium brown skin, with bumps on his face, no facial hair. He had short hair with a
receding hair line.

Police are looking for the suspect, as well as the victim’s vehicle, which the suspect left
in. The vehicle is a 2008 Suzuki Forenza, 4 door, black in color with Virginia tags
XVD8532.

Shooting on Commerce Avenue in Chesapeake

On September 23, 2008, a shooting occurred in the 1100 block of Commerce
Avenue. Shortly before 10:30 PM, the two victims were walking along Commerce
Avenue, with two other people, when a red truck pulled up beside them. Of the four
suspects, three jumped out of the truck and confronted the group just before firing
shots.

One of the suspects jumped back into the truck as it fled toward Park
Avenue. The two other suspects ran between houses toward Hoover Avenue. All
are described as black males in their late teens between 5’ 11” and 6’ tall. All wore
dark hooded sweatshirts with one wearing a Spiderman mask.

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION HAMPTON CITY

On October 8, 2008, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Hampton Police Division received a
complaint of a shooting victim that was being driven to a local hospital. The investigation
revealed that the victim and suspect, who were known to each other, were involved in an
argument in the area of Rowe Street and Langley Avenue when the suspect retrieved a
firearm and shot the victim. The suspect fled the scene and the victim was transported by
a citizen to the hospital. The victim, a 23-year-old Hampton man, is listed in stable
condition.

Hampton Detectives are currently interviewing a person of interest in this case and the
investigation is still ongoing. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
Anyone with information that will assist police is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police

Shot Fired At Police Officer – Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach Police would like to talk to Justin Scott Patriquin of the 1800 block of Fury Way Virginia Beach. This is in regard to a police officer that was shot at during a routine traffic stop that occurred at the intersection of South Plaza Trail and South Independence Blvd at approximately 1:30 A.M.

Attempted Break-in Landstown Lakes

Person of Interest - Glenn Smith

On Friday the 19th, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., three white male youths attempted to break into a residence in the 3200 block of Barberry Lane. Vigilant neighbors interrupted this unlawful entry. All three ran down the adjacent bike path towards Landstown Lakes.

One person with distinguishing dreadlocks hair and Bob Marley t-shirt may be identified as Glenn Smith and is a person of interest in this case. Glenn Smith is known to hang out with another individual by the name of TJ Traylor (spelling may not be correct.)

Neighbors have identified this individual in the area on prior occasions carrying a pipe or hammer. Additionally, they have been observed in the bike path.

Another neighbor saw three individuals meeting the same description with baseball or similar item and possibly a handgun in the same area.

Dark Green 4-door, VA Plates KLT-7047 Suspicious Activity

It appears someone has been arrested for stealing from a residence. The suspect named Michael Perry claims an accomplice named “Downing” is involved. If anyone has additional information about the five individuals who were in the dark green vehicle, license plate KLT-7047, please contact the police. You can also call Crime Solvers if you wish to remain anonymous.

Suspect Sought in Attempt Abduction of a Juvenile

The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible
for an attempt abduction that occurred on September 19, 2008.

The investigation revealed that at approximately 4:30 p.m., the victim, a 14-year-old Hampton
female juvenile, was walking home from school in the 1500 block of Adams Circle when a vehicle
pulled up next to the curb near her. A white male got out of the vehicle and grabbed the victim
around her neck from behind. At that time, the victim began to scream and the suspect let go of
her, got into the vehicle and drove off.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30-years-old, 6’ to 6’2” tall, 120 to 150 pounds,
brown hair and brown eyes with a light complexion. He was wearing baggy blue jeans, a horizontal
stripped red, black, green and white polo shirt, white Nike tennis shoes, red baseball cap, a gold
watch on his left arm and possibly a diamond stud earring in his left ear. He was driving a white
Dodge Neon 4-door and was last seen leaving the area driving westbound on Adams Circle.

Homicide - Parkview Drive Chesapeake Virginia

On June 15, 2008, a homicide occurred in the 1700 block of Parkview Drive. At about 2:00 AM, Marcus Jamal Boyce (23) was in the parking lot with friends when two suspects began to argue with him. One suspect produced a handgun and fatally shot Boyce before fleeing the scene in a burgundy colored Lexus.

The armed suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 22 to 30 years old and about 5’ 10” tall, 170 pounds. The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as a black male with a light complexion, in his mid 20’s, with braided hair and about 5’ 7” tall, 170 pounds. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Greenbrier Parkway.
