The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for an attempt abduction that occurred January 5, 2007. The investigation revealed that at approximately 12:40 a.m., the victim, a 21-year-old Portsmouth female, was stopped in her vehicle in the area of N. Chamberlain Avenue and N. Mallory Street. At which time, the male suspect approached her vehicle and opened her driver’s side door.
The suspect attempted to pull the victim from the vehicle but was unable to do so. The victim drove off causing the suspect to lose his grip.
The suspect was described as a white male of average height. He appeared to be in his mid-thirties with short, dirty blonde or brown hair. He was unshaven and dirty in appearance, possibly homeless. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt.
